Two motorcyclists were killed in a collision between two bikes in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Limon Mia, son of Nazrul Islam of Panchgachhi village, and Rubel Mia, son of Shaheen Mia of Chandpara, in the upazila.
The accident occurred around 9:00am at Shialgara on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway.
According to witnesses, the two motorcycles collided while the riders were attempting to overtake each other at high speed and lost control.
Both riders sustained serious injuries in the accident. They were initially taken to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex, where they received primary treatment before being referred to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura.
Both died while undergoing treatment there, said Sub-Inspector Mashiur Rahman of Gobindaganj Police Station.
