Buckingham Palace announced Tuesday that French President Emmanuel Macron has accepted an invitation from King Charles III for a state visit to the United Kingdom this July.
Macron and his wife, Brigitte, are scheduled to stay at Windsor Castle during the visit, which will take place from July 8 to July 10.

This visit follows King Charles and Queen Camilla’s trip to France in September 2023, a move aimed at strengthening relations with France. The visit came after a period of tension between the two countries, largely due to Brexit and disputes over the increasing number of migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats.
