International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh returned to winning ways beating Russian GM Savchenko Boris in the 4th round match of the Pavlodar Open Chess '2023 held in Pavlodar Province of Kazakhstan Tuesday evening.
Fahad Rahman, who tasted the first defeat in the 3rd round match against Belarus GM Nikitenko Mihial, played the 4th round match with white pieces and beat the Russian GM Savchenko Boris in the 35th move.
After the 4th round matches, IM Fahad Rahman secured three points to share the 3rd position with 13 other players.
In the 5th round match on Wednesday afternoon, Fahad Rahman playing against GM Makhnev Denis of Kazakhstan.
