Dhaka Mohammedan SC shared points with Usha KC as their vital Green Delta Premier Division Hockey League match ended in a 3-3 draw at the Moulana Bhasani National Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
This was the first draw for the traditional black and whites Mohammedan in the ongoing league after crushing Victoria SC 10-1 in the first match and defeating Azad SC 4-0 in the 2nd match.
It was also the first draw for the old Dhaka outfit Usha KC in the league after beating defending champions Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club by 5-1 goals in league opener, lost to Dhaka Abahani Ltd by 1-2 goals and defeated Ajax SC by 4-2 goals.
After the match, Dhaka Abahani Ltd topped the league table with an all-win-record outplaying Dilkusha SC 10-1 goals, Usha KC by 2-1 goals and Azad SC also by 10-1 goals.
In the day's match, Malaysian player Faisal Bin Sari, local forward Rasel Mahmud Jimmy and Amirul Islam scored for Mohammedan SC while penalty corner specialist Mahbub Hossain struck two and Indian player Irshad Iktidar scored the other goal for Usha KC.
Faisal put Mohammedan SC ahead in the 11th minute by a field goal (1-0), Jimmy doubled the Mohammedan's margin in the 20th also by a field goal (2-0),
Irshad Iktidar pulled Usha KC margin one back in the 27th minute while Mahbub Hossain leveled Usha margin in the 35th minute from a penalty corner (2-2).
Amirul Islam again put the black and whites Mohammedan ahead in the 44th minute from a penalty corner (3-2) while Mahbub Hossain of Usha KC equalized the match again in the 52nd minute by his favourite penalty corner (3-3).
Earlier in the day's first match, Sadharan Bima KS, riding on a hat-trick by Indian recruit Ashu, beat Victoria SC by 8-3 goals at the same venue Thursday afternoon.
Apart from Ashu's hat-trick with three goals, Jamil Bin Shuvo and Ravi scored two goals each while Kamruzzaman Rana scored the remaining goal for the insurance men's team.
Shuvo Kumar Ghose, Al Amin Miah and Shahidul Islam scored one goal each for Victoria SC.
