Bangladesh women's football team will return home this afternoon. Following the heroes’ arrival, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will celebrate their victory in the 2022 SAFF Women's Football championship with an open-deck bus parade around Dhaka.

How will the champions be received?

Representatives from BFF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports met on Tuesday to devise a detailed plan for welcoming the national heroes. 

The flight carrying the victorious Bangladesh women's team is set to touch down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 1:50pm today. Zahid Ahsan Russell, state minister for youth and sports, will greet the Bangladesh women's team with flowers at the airport.

There will be a short news conference at Dhaka airport where the football players will share their incredible experiences throughout the tournament.

The women's football team will be transported to Bangladesh Football Federation office in Motijheel by an open-deck bus, following the press conference. BFF president, Kazi Salahuddin, will greet the tigresses with flowers, and a photo session will follow. There may also be a news conference at the BFF headquarters.

Where will the victory parade start and end?

The open-deck bus is ready to greet the football players in accordance with the planned roadmap. The bus is being painted and has a sound system inside. The women's football team members will board the bus from Dhaka airport.

The approximately 25 km victory parade will start from Dhaka airport. It will then make its way to Kakoli in Banani before continuing on to Bijoy Sarani. The victory parade will pass through Tejgaon, Mouchak, Moghbazar, Kakrail, Arambagh, and Motijheel before stopping at Bangladesh Football Federation building.
