Touring Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team are on the lead by 17 runs against hosts Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team on the 3rd day of the 2nd four-day Youth Test at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Monday.

Bangladesh resumed the first innings on Monday with overnight a total of 321 runs for 8 wickets and finally scored 354 runs with all out in 120.4 overs.

Mehrab Hossain Ahin remained unbeaten on 33 runs, apart from Prantik Nawrose Nabil 98, Alvi Hoque 72 and Shahadat Hossain 50 runs on Sunday.

Nipun Perera claimed four wickets for 35 runs and Kushan Wickramasinghe, Dulith Wellalage took two wickets each conceding 19 and 68 runs respectively.

Sri Lanka, who were all out for 184 in the first innings, scored 187 for 5 in 75 overs to take 17-run lead when bails were drawn for the third day (Monday).

Gamage Dinusha scored the team’s highest 55 runs, Ravindu Rasantha 33 and Nipun Dananjaya was unbeaten at 29 runs.

Mehedi Hasan picked up three wickets for 39 runs, Mehrab Hossain Ahin, Prantik Nawrose Nabil took one wicket each conceding 27 and one run respectively.

First Innings: Sri Lanka U-19: 184 in 54.3 overs (Wickramasinghe 73, Lakshan 47, Shahin 7-62, Ruhit 2-60);

Second Innings: Sri Lanka U-19: 187 for 5 in 75 overs (Ravindu 33, Nipun 29*, Mehedi 3-39).

Bangladesh U-19: 354 in 120.4 overs (Prantik 98, Alvi 72, Shahadat 50, Ahin 33*, Wickramasinghe 2-19).
