Feni, Sept 4 (UNB) - A bus crashed into a stationary covered van on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Chhagalnaiya upazila of Feni on Friday morning, killing the drivers of both vehicles and van helper, and injuring another person.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred in front of the Daulatpur Government Primary School in Old Muhuriganj on the Chattogram-bound lane of the highway around 7:00am.
Police said a covered van was standing on the highway after it broke down.
A long vehicle (Articulated vehicle) was being used to remove it when a Dhaka-bound Unique Paribahan bus, travelling at high speed, lost control and crashed into the covered van from behind.
Four people, including the driver and helper of the covered van and the bus driver, were seriously injured in the accident.
On information, a team from Fazilpur Highway Police Station went to the spot and, with the help of locals, rescued the injured and took them to Feni Sadar Hospital.
