The Chapainawabganj pourashava election has been postponed.
The authorities confirmed this on Tuesday. The election was set to be held on November 2.
However, District Election Officer Motawakkil Rahman said the cancellation has been communicated to them verbally from the Election Commission. Details would be disclosed officially on Wednesday, he said.
