Leaders of the Protestant Church exchanged Easter greetings with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday.
The greeting exchange was held at the Cabinet Division office of the Prime Minister at the Bangladesh Secretariat around 11:45am, said Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.
Easter, one of the most important festivals in Christianity, marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ and is observed by millions around the world.
It symbolises hope, renewal and triumph over despair, with prayers, community gatherings and acts of charity forming key parts of the celebrations.
