A youth was killed after being run over by a train near Altafnagar Railway Station in Adamdighi upazila of Bogura on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Sagar Hossain, 30, son of Parvez Ali of Mathurapur Uttarpara village in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura.
Officer-in-Charge of Santahar Railway Police Station Dulal Hossain Zaman said the incident occurred around 9pm when the Padmarag Express train, travelling from Lalmonirhat to Santahar, ran over Sagar shortly after leaving Altafnagar Railway Station. He died on the spot.
On receiving the information, police went to the scene and recovered the body, taking it to the railway police station.
The OC said the body was handed over to the family on Wednesday morning as they had no complaint regarding the death.
Police filed an unnatural death case with Santahar Railway Police Station in connection with the incident.
