Along with Juventus, both AC Milan and Inter Milan are among the top three most successful football clubs in Italy. They have combined to win 73 Serie A titles out of 119 seasons, which indicates how dominating these teams are in this particular tournament. However, Juventus have been more dominant than the other two, winning nine straight Scudetto trophies, while Inter Milan broke their monopoly last year. Inter are in the race for the 2021–2022 Serie A title along with AC Milan, while Juventus are already out of contention.
