Sonam Sultana Soma of Abahani Limited and Nowrin Sultana Mahi of Bangladesh Army moved into the women’s singles final of the Federation Cup (Ranking) Table Tennis Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semis at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium here on Monday.
Soma beat her compatriot Sadia Rahman Mou by 4-2 sets while Mahi defeated her compatriot Rahima Akhter also by 4-2 sets in the day’s semifinals.
The women’s singles final will be held on Tuesday (Jan 21) at 11 am while men’s singles final will be held at 12.30 pm on the same day and same venue.
