All 20 personnel aboard a Turkish military cargo plane that crashed in Georgia have died, Turkey’s Defense Minister confirmed on Wednesday.
The C-130 aircraft, which had departed from Azerbaijan, was returning to Turkey when it went down on Tuesday in Sighnaghi municipality, near the Azerbaijan–Georgia border.
“Our heroic comrades-in-arms were martyred on November 11, 2025, when our C-130 military cargo plane, en route from Azerbaijan to our country, crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border,” Defense Minister Yasar Guler said in a post on X, alongside photographs of the personnel who lost their lives.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
