Online GD service to be launched in Dhaka, Mymensingh Tuesday
Bangladesh Police’s digital service initiative is set to expand on Tuesday, as residents under all police stations in the Dhaka and Mymensingh ranges will be able to file all types of General Diaries (GD) online.
According to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters on Monday, this move is part of ongoing efforts to simplify police services under the directive of the chief adviser.
The online GD facility, which previously only allowed for entries related to loss and recovery, will now support all GD types.
With this expansion, the total number of police stations offering the service will include 134 under Dhaka and Mymensingh, in addition to those already covered under the Sylhet Range, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chattogram Range and Chattogram Metropolitan Police.
Online GD service launched across Sylhet range
To file an online GD, users must download the ‘Online GD’ app from the Google Play Store and complete a one-time registration process. For any help during registration or filing, a 24-hour hotline (01320001428) has been made available.
Enamul Haque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, said the Bangladesh Police is committed to improving public accessibility to police services, and the online GD service will be gradually introduced in other ranges and metropolitan areas across the country.
