Bangladeshi youth abducted from Patgram border, handed over to BSF
Indian nationals allegedly entered Bangladeshi territory illegally and abducted a Bangladeshi youth near Patgram border in Lalmonirhat on Friday.
The victim, Ajinur Rahman, son of Nur Hossain from Ward No. 1 of Jamgram village, was reportedly tied to a barbed-wire fence and tortured before being handed over to India’s Border Security Force (BSF).
Company Commander Rafiqul Islam of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at the Thyangjhara camp said Ajinur had been wandering near the border when Indian civilians detained him and turned him over to the BSF.

They allegedly abused him physically after tying him to the barbed-wire fence.
BSF personnel from Saraswati Camp later arrived and took him into custody.
"A flag meeting is being pursued to secure the return of the youth," BGB official Rafiqul Islam said.
