Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mosleh Uddin Ahmed took over as the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Monday. Deputy Commissioner of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, N M Nasiruddin, confirmed the matter to the media. Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification appointing him as the DMP Commissioner.  

The government of Bangladesh has appointed Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Habibur Rahman as the new commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Read: US Ambassador holds meeting with DMP Commissioner  A gazette notification was issued in this regard by the Home Ministry's Public Security Division on Wednesday (September 20, 2023).
