Forty-seven more stranded Bangladeshi nationals were repatriated from war-torn Lebanon on Saturday at full government expense. They arrived on a Qatar Airways flight (QR 640) that landed at 9:15 am at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Beirut, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Migrant workers in Lebanon struggle to return home amid alleged abuse and war So far, a total of 1,246 Bangladeshi nationals have been repatriated from Lebanon on 19 flights, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Officials from the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates' Welfare ministries, along with IOM representatives, welcomed the returnees at the airport. IOM provided each repatriated person with Tk 5,000 as pocket money, food supplies and basic medical care. 105 stranded Bangladeshis return from war-torn Lebanon Ministry officials interacted with the returnees, listening to their accounts of the ongoing conflict and enquiring about their well-being. Meanwhile, one Bangladeshi national reportedly lost their life in a bombing incident during the conflict. The government has reiterated its commitment to covering repatriation costs for all Bangladeshis wishing to return home from Lebanon amid the ongoing violence. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Bangladesh in Beirut continue to work diligently to ensure the safe return of those desiring repatriation and to safeguard those choosing to remain.  

One hundred eighty three more Bangladeshi nationals evacuated from war-torn Lebanon arrived in Dhaka early Wednesday.With them, a total of 521 Bangladeshi nationals have returned home from Lebanon through nine flights.Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, and International Organization for Migration (IOM) welcomed the repatriated Bangladeshis at Shahjalal International Airport.They landed here around 1 am by a flight of Sky Vision Airlines.
