Bangladesh and Brazil have emphasised the importance of regular exchange of high-level visits and discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in new and emerging areas, as well as to further deepen people-to-people and institutional linkages between the two countries.                   State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir met Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira, Foreign Minister of Brazil, on the sidelines of the United Nations meetings in New York on September 25. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and expressed satisfaction at the growing momentum in Bangladesh-Brazil relations. They exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, economic engagement, and South-South Cooperation.
