SSC, equivalent exam results published; pass rate 68.45%
The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Thursday, with an average pass rate of 68.45 %, a significant drop in the pass rate compared to last year.The results were officially published at 2 pm on Thursday.According to the Education Ministry, the average pass rate under 11 education boards across the country stands at 68.45 percent, a sharp decline from 83.04 percent recorded in 2024.This year’s SSC and equivalent exams began on April 10 and concluded on May 13.A total of 19,28,970 students registered to take the exams including 9,67,739 female students and 9,61,231 male students.In 2024, the average pass rate was 83.04 percent.Female students outperformed their male counterparts once again, with a pass rate of 71.03 percent compared to 65.88 percent for male students.This marks the 10th consecutive year that girls have led in SSC pass rates.A total of 1,39,032 students obtained GPA-5 across all boards in this year’s SSC and equivalent exams.In comparison, 1,82,129 students secured GPA-5 in 2024 — a noticeable drop in the number of top scorers.This year’s SSC and equivalent examinations began on April 10 and concluded on May 13. A total of 1,928,970 students had registered to sit for the exams, including 967,739 female students and 961,231 male students.This year, the pass rate for the SSC examination under the Dhaka Education Board is 67.51 percent.A total of 3,79,247 students out of 3,82,495 students, sat for the examinations from Dhaka Board. Among them, 1,77,938 are male and 2,01,309 are female.The total number of candidates who received GPA 5 is 37,068.The pass rate in this year’s Dakhil examinations under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board stands at 68.09 percent, with a total of 9,066 students securing GPA-5 across the country.
How to see SSC, equivalent exams results
This year, the SSC examination was conducted in a fair and free environment from April 10 to May 13.
A total of 446 centers, including 8 centers abroad, held this examination under the Dhaka Education Board.
Educational institutions can collect the examination results from their respective boards' websites.
Besides, examination results can also be collected via SMS. Applications for re-evaluation of examination results can also be submitted through SMS.
This year, a total of 1,490,142 candidates sat for the examinations under nine general education boards in 2,291 centres in 18,084 institutions of the country.
Of them, there are 701,538 male and 788,604 female students.

SSC results handed over to PM
The summary and statistics of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni handed over the result summary to the premier at the PMO.

This year, more than 20 lakh students took part in SSC and equivalent examinations under 11 boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and Technical Education.
Of them, 15.99 lakh were from nine general education boards, 2.68 under the Madrasa Education Board, and 1.53 lakh under Technical Education Board. SSC and equivalent examinations began across the country on September 15.

Results of SSC, equivalent exams on November 28
The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on November 28 (Monday).
Exam Controller of Dhaka Education Board Prof. Abul Bashar told UNB that the results of SSC and its equivalent examinations will be published on November 28.

This year's SSC and equivalent examinations under eleven boards, including madrasa (Dakhil) and Technical Education Boards, began across the country on 15 September.
In 2022, a total of 20,21,868 students took part in the SSC and equivalent examinations under 11 educational boards.

Average 93.58 pass percentage in SSC, equivalent exams
The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published on Thursday, showing a pass percentage of 93.58.
The pass rate of SSC examination is 94.08 percent while that of madrasa 93.33 percent and technical 88.49 percent.

This year, 2,278,098 students –-1,155,096 boys and 1,123,002 girls-- took part in the SSC and its equivalent examinations from 29,035 institutes under 11 education boards in the country.

The SSC and its equivalent examinations started on November 14 and completed on November 23 last with some 2.278 million students appearing in the exams.

SSC results on Thursday: Education Minister
The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Thursday, said Education Minister Dipu Moni on Tuesday. “The results of the SSC and its equivalent examinations will be published on December 30 from Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to join the event virtually,” she said while talking to reporters after attending a programme at the National Academy for Educational Management (Naem).

SSC results: Rajshahi board tops list
Rajshahi Education Board has seen the highest pass rate this year among all boards -- general, technical and madrasa -- in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
According to results published on Sunday, Rajshahi had a success rate of 90.37 percent while the technical board had 72.7 percent, the lowest. Among the general education boards, Sylhet had the lowest pass rate at 78.79 percent.
In Rajshahi, 200,185 students appeared in the examination while 180,902 came out successful.
Besides, in Sylhet, 116,104 students sat for the examinations while 91,480 passed the exams.
UNB Barishal correspondent reports that 112,436 students appeared in this year’s SSC exam and of them, 89,616 passed in the examination with a success rate of 79.7 percent -- up 2 percent from last year.
A total of 4,483 students achieved GPA 5 from Barishal.
