Bangladesh beat the West Indies by seven wickets on Friday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Right-arm pacer Hasan Mahmud shone in the first intra-squad practice game of Bangladesh cricket team on Thursday, taking four wickets for 21 runs in six overs.

After a three-day in-room quarantine upon their arrival in Bangladesh, the West Indies started practice ahead of the three-match ODI and two-match Test series against the hosts.

West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite has said the squad that came to Bangladesh is not a second-string team and that they are capable of doing well at the international level.

Bangladesh fielding coach Ryan Cook has insisted that the Tigers will have to work more on their catching and ground fielding ahead of the home series against the West Indies starting from January 20.
