“We were closely monitoring social media platforms after reports emerged of leaked medical college entrance exam questions. A Facebook account under the name ‘Gazi Kamal Hossain’ posted a claim offering the 2024-2025 medical college entrance exam questions for Tk 12,000, with Tk 6,000 required as an advance payment. A fake question paper was also shared in the post. Suspecting this to be a scam, we initiated an investigation,” said the addl SP.
Nayeem had reportedly bought an old mobile phone from Alka Nodi Bangla Saima Telecom, used it to create a WhatsApp account, and contacted prospective medical students, offering fake questions for a fee. Over the past two days, he is believed to have collected more than Tk 1 lakh from various individuals.
