With the day's feat, the Kings advance to the 2nd slot in the 10-team league toppling Dhaka Abahani Limited securing 28 points from 16 matches by virtue of better goal difference
Six times champions Dhaka Abahani went down to the 3rd slot due to poor goal differences despite of collecting 28 points from 15 matches, playing one match less than the Kings
In the day's match, national forward Rakib Hossain made a hattrick scoring four goals in the 22nd, 68th, 77th and 88th minutes while Uzbekistan midfielder Asror Gafurov, Foysal Ahmed Fahim and Rafiqul Islam scored one each for the Kings in the 36th, 38th and 47th minutes respectively.
In the day's other match, Brothers Union Club outplayed Dhaka Wanderers Club by 5-0 goals at the FL Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Tuesday.

Fed Cup Football: Holders Bashundhara Kings emerge group champions to reach qualifiers
Holders Bashundhara Kings emerged Group A champions to reach the qualifier -1 of the Federation Cup Football' 2024-25 outplaying Dhaka Wanderers Club by 5-0 goal at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla on Tuesday.
In the day's match, Brazilian booter Miguel Damaseno put the Kings ahead in the 18th minute (1-0) while Sohel Rana Sr doubled the margin in the 40th minute (2-0) to dominate the first half 2-0.
Kings took a 3-0 lead in the 55th minute by a gifted goal when Wanderers booter Russel sent the ball to his own net (3-0).
Sohel Rana Jr further widen the Kings margin scoring the 4th goal in the 70th minute while defender Topu Barman sealed the fate of the match netting the 5th goal in the 77th minute.
The day's other match between Brothers Union Club and Bangladesh Police FC ended in a goalless draw at the Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
With the day's well merited victory, Bashundhara Kings finished Group A champions securing nine points from four group matches.
Both the Brothers Union Club and Fortis FC have secured seven points each after playing all the four Group A matches, but Brothers Union finished group runners up to reach the qualifiers 2 by virtue of head to head advantage, beating Fortis earlier.

Bashundhara Kings will now play Group B champions either Dhaka Abahani Ltd or Rahmatganj MFS to reach the final.
In Group B, Rahmatganj MFS and Dhaka Abahani Limited maintained all–win run to reach the play-off stage (qualifiers/eliminator) with one match to spare and will meet each other on February 4 to decide the group champions.

Fed Cup Football: Holders Bashundhara Kings to play Fortis FC on Tuesday
Defending champions Bashundhara Kings will play Fortis FC Ltd in a Group A match of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup Football 2023-24 at 2:30 pm at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Tuesday.
Brothers Union Club Ltd will meet Dhaka Wanderers Club in the other Group A match also at 2:30 pm at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
Earlier in the tournament opener, last season’s treble winners Bashundhara Kings managed 1-0 goal victory over Brothers Union Club to dominate the Group A list securing full three points from one match.
The other Group A opening match between Bangladesh Police FC and Fortis FC ended in a goalless draw to follow the league leader Kings securing one point each from one match.
Brother Union Club yet to open the account losing the opening match to the Kings while Dhaka Wanderers Club yet to start the tournament.
In the Group B, former champions Dhaka Abahani Limited and Rahmatganj MFS dominated the group securing full three points after playing their first match.

Dhaka Mohammedan SC, which shocked last season's treble winners Bashundhara Kings beating them by 1-0 goal in their 2nd BPL match, made a frustrating journey in the Federation Cup Football losing to Rahmatganj MFS by 0-1 goal at the Bashundhara Kings Arena.
This was the 2nd successive defeat for traditional black and whites Dhaka Mohammedan at the Basundhara Kings Arena (ground) this season after conceding 1-3 defeat against the Kings in the one-match Challenge Cup Football recently.

Bashundhara Kings clinched the season's curtain raiser soccer meet, the Bangladesh 2.0 Challenge Cup Football 2024-25, beating Dhaka Mohammedan SC by 3-1 goals at the Basundhara Kings Arena here on Friday.

BPL Football: Bashundhara Kings continue unbeaten run beating Sheikh Russell 3-1
Defending champions Bashundhara Kings continued their unbeaten run in the eleven-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football Saturday after beating Sheikh Russell Krira Chakra 3-1 at the Bashundhara Sports Complex.
Star-studded Kings topped the league table with 21 points from seven straight matches; second-placed Dhaka Abahani earned 15 points from as many encounters.
Sheikh Russell remained in the fifth spot with 12 points from six matches.
After a goalless first half, Brazilian forward Robson Robinho put the Kings ahead in the 65th minute from a penalty (1-0); Uzbek midfielder Asror Gafurov doubled the lead in the 73rd minute (2-0).
