Cox’s Bazar Civil Society and NGO Forum (CCNF), an alliance of 50 organisations, has put forward a proposal on the draft of Joint Response Planning (JRP) 2020 over the Rohingya crisis.
CCNF came up with the proposal at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club on Sunday where civil society leaders were also present.
CCNF Co-chair Abu Morshed Chowdhury focused on several revision proposals for the draft of JRP 2020 seeking inclusion of environment recovery, host community, youth and adolescent as separate sectors.
He also called for including family planning as priority matter in the health sector in the draft.
CCNF Co-Chairman Rezaul Karim Chowhdhury, Joint Director, COAST Barkat Mullah Maruf, Nayeem Gawher Wahra of Disaster Forum, Rafiqul Islam of Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB), independent expert on refugee and disaster management Abdul Latif Khan and Director, COAST Mostafa Kamal Akhanda, also spoke at the press conference.
