One of the three children missing since an overcrowded tourist boat sank on Karnaphuli River was found dead on Friday afternoon.

Divers of fire service recovered the body of Deblila, 10, around 4pm, said Ashraf Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Chandraghona Police Station.

Divers are searching for the other missing passengers – Binoy, 5, and Tumpa Majumdar, 3.

The children had gone missing after the boat sank around 11am, said Sufi Ullah, Additional Superintendent of Police.
