“Witnessing the giant activities of Walton today, it is quite impressive and unimaginable. I got a great knowledge on the production of latest technologies’ appliances within Bangladesh. Truly, I am impressed. Bangladesh would be enlisted in developed countries if more industries like Walton is established,” the minister made the remarks while visiting Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL) at Chandra, Kaliakoir in Gazipur on Saturday last (April 27, 2019).
Praising the bold initiatives of Walton in manufacturing world-class technology products in Bangladesh, he called upon the local entrepreneurs for establishing more industries like Walton.
Earlier, WHIL’s Vice-Chairman SM Shamsul Alam and Director Raisa Sigma Hima welcomed the minister and his entourage to Walton factory with a flower bouquet.
The company’s Executive Directors Humayun Kabir, Alamgir Alam Sarker, Col. (Retd.) SM Shahadat Alam and Liakat Ali, Additional Operative Director Sohel Rana, Senior Additional Director Mohsin Ali Molla, Media Adviser Enayet Ferdous, among others, were also present.
After reaching WHIL, the minister and his entourage watched the company’s corporate documentary and then they visited the products’ display center and various manufacturing units like metal casting, compressor, SMT production, PCB, computer and mobile phone.
Mentionable, Walton established an advanced factory on 700 acres of lands at Kaliakoir in Gazipur. They are manufacturing highest standards fridge, TV, AC, laptop, computer, mobile phone, lift and other sorts of home and electrical appliances.
Various separate departments like Product Research and Development Centers, Quality Control Department and International Business Unit have been set up in Walton factory.
The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labeled Walton appliances have been exporting to various countries of the world. Now, Walton target is to capture a remarkable portion of the global market. In this context, they are going to manufacture five best global models of smart refrigerators in terms of craftsmanship, highest standard, volumes, affordability and latest features.
